From Washington, DC and the Capital Beltway (I 495):

Turn right onto Route 230 West toward Stanardsville and continue approximately 9 miles to Route 621/South River Road
Turn right onto Route 621/South River Road and

FOR CARRIE'S COTTAGE proceed 1.5 miles to Fairhill Farm, 2891 South River Road, on right (farm sign at end of drive). Turn right onto driveway to past yellow farmhouse with red roof on top of hill (approximately 0.6 miles) and drive past the pond to the cottage.
FOR THE CARRIAGE HOUSE STUDIO proceed 1.5 miles to Fairhill Farm, 2891 South River Road, on right (farm sign at end of drive). Turn right onto driveway to the Carriage House located to the left of the yellow farmhouse with red roof on top of hill (approximately 0.6 miles).

Directions from the East

From Richmond, Virginia and Interstate 95 South:

Take I64 west toward Charlottesville proceed approximately 55 miles to Route 15/ Zions Cross Roads Exit 136

Turn right at end of exit ramp onto Route 15 North and continue approximately 12 miles to Gordonsville Town Center and traffic circle. (Note after about five miles Route 15 North also becomes Route 33 West)

At Gordonsville traffic circle continue straight taking Route 33 West (second exit after enter round about)

Continue US33 West approximately 17 miles to Stanardsville/US33 West business exit at traffic light

Take US33 west business (right turn) to Stanardsville corporate limits and right on VA230 east (Madison Road)—approximately 1.5 miles

Take VA230 to VA621 (South River Road) and turn left –approximately 1.5 miles
Turn left on VA621 (South River Road)
- FOR CARRIE'S COTTAGE proceed 1.5 miles to Fairhill Farm, 2891 South River Road, on right (farm sign at end of drive). Turn right onto driveway to past yellow farmhouse with red roof on top of hill (approximately 0.6 miles) and drive past the pond to the cottage

Take I 64 West toward Charlottesville proceed approximately 65 miles to Route 250 Charlottesville/Shadwell Exit 124
Turn right at end of exit ramp onto Route 250 West and continue approximately 4.5 miles to Route 29 North exit toward Washington, DC
Turn right onto Route 29 North and continue approximately 14 miles to Ruckersville and Route 33 West
Turn left onto Route 33 West and continue as becomes Route 33 bypass approximately 5 miles to Stanardsville/Route 33 West business exit

Turn right onto Route 33 West business and continue approximately 1.5 miles to Stanardsville corporate limits and Route 230/Madison Road
Turn right onto Route 230 and continue approximately 1.5 miles to Route 621/South River Road

Take Route 33 East exit from I 81 and proceed approximately 30 miles to Stanardsville/Route 33 East business (Note DO NOT take Turkey Ridge or Bull Yearling as per MapQuest and many GPS systems unless you want an adventure ride!)
Turn left onto Route 33 East business and continue through Stanardsville to Route 230/Madison Road— approximately 1.5 miles
Turn left onto Route 230 and continue approximately 1.5 miles to Route 621/ South River Road and:
